Doug Rand is a writer whose plays have been performed thousands of times worldwide. His first book for children is Shavuot, Shavuot, Why Are You Sad? Doug served as Senior Advisor to the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) during the Biden administration and as Assistant Director for Entrepreneurship in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) during the Obama administration. As an entrepreneur, he was the co-founder and president of Boundless, and the co-founder and CEO of Playscripts, Inc. He lives in the Washington, DC, area with his wife, their three children, and a pet axolotl.

Paweł Gierliński is a freelance illustrator based in Poland. He is a self-taught artist who owes his development to hard work combined with years spent on drawing. His illustrations are created mainly digitally, although he is proficient in using crayon and watercolor. Pawel’s adventure with illustration started in 2020 and since then his style has been constantly evolving. Due to his passion for traditional media, he tries to transfer their effect and texture into his illustrations. He enjoys creating new characters, imaginary items, vehicles, places and fun scenarios. Privately cat lover and a husband of a wonderful woman and a father of a beautiful girl.
