Author: Shoshana Silberman
Dr. Shoshana Silberman is a consultant at the Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education in Philadelphia. She is the author of The Family Haggadah I, II and board book, and The Whole Megillah (Almost!), and other Jewish content books for children and parents.
Illustrator: Hiroe Nakata
Hiroe Nakata grew up in Japan, encouraged in her drawing by her grandfather, a painter. One of her favorite things to do was to sit and play in the big rocking chair in his studio. She also loved music and at a very early age began composing songs for her own amusement. As she paints she often recalls the songs she wrote as a child and is reminded of her hands moving on the keyboard as her brush moves across the paper. When she was sixteen, Hiroe moved to the United States. She is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design and a resident of New York City.

“A sweet and very welcome introduction and accompaniment to a lovely and joyous springtime festival.”―Kirkus Reviews
Foreword Reviews
“For the child perhaps still too little to ask comes this bright, informative board book introducing key elements of the Passover seder. The table is set with candles, wine, matzoh, and a full seder plate; juice is poured, hands are washed, the story of the Israelites’ escape from slavery is told, and dinner is served. It’s all a delight for the youngest character in the book, leading right up to his favorite part: the search for the afikomen.” ―Foreword Reviews
