This four-book series focuses on different kinds of space probes and what they’ve taught us about outer space and our own planet. Each book presents the chronological history of the types of spacecraft rockets, satellites, manned missions, and robot explorers from their earliest beginnings to the present day. The books describe the evolution of the spacecraft, the different types in use, how they work and what they do, specific missions, and potential future missions. This series has full-color illustrations, NASA photos, and original art and diagrams. It also includes plenty of sidebars, some of which will be experiments and activities.
