Today’s students are bombarded with facts and opinions. They need strong information literacy skills to navigate our data-rich world and identify the best information. These books take students step by step through the research process—how to ask good questions and strategize their research, how to think critically about sources to find reliable information, how to organize and cite key facts, and how to write and edit an assignment. Students will also learn how to evaluate advertising and persuasive messaging.
This hands-on series supports Big6 research strategies and the AASL Standards for the 21st-Century Learner. Each book includes examples to illustrate the steps of the research process and back matter activities to help readers apply the skills.
