Lerner Publishing Group Receives Best Pre-School Licensing Project Award for SEL Publishing Program with Sesame Street

MINNEAPOLIS, MN— Lerner Publishing Group was awarded Best Pre-School Licensing Project for the SEL Publishing Program with Sesame Street. With 75 titles in multiple formats, including hardcover, softcover, eBook, and eBook with audio, published in both English and Spanish, this robust program introduces young children to concepts of respect, inclusion, and community awareness. The Best Licensing Project awards are presented annually at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. The awards acknowledge excellence in property and brand development and emphasize how sector success develops from the collaborative connections between parties.

“We are extremely proud of our work with Sesame Street, produced by the nonprofit educational organization Sesame Workshop,” said Adam Lerner, Publisher and CEO of Lerner Publishing Group. “Combining Lerner’s 60 years of children’s publishing expertise with Sesame Workshop’s 50+ years creating research-based educational media has made for an incredible collaboration, and we look forward to continuing to bring these books to young readers around the world.”

“We’re honored to be recognized for our work with Lerner Publishing in nurturing an early love of reading,” said Gabriela Arenas, SVP of Global Products Licensing, Sesame Workshop. “Reading opens doors to new and exciting worlds, and helps kids build vocabulary and comprehension skills, which prepare them to succeed in school and in life.”
