Lerner Publisher Services Announces New Distribution Agreements with Planting People Growing Justice, Knowledge Books, and Intergalactic Afikoman
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Lerner Publisher Services, a division of Lerner Publishing Group, today announced new distribution arrangements with Planting People Growing Justice Press, Knowledge Books, and Intergalactic Afikoman to be the exclusive book distributor for all three publishers in all markets beginning January 1, 2023. Lerner Publisher Services will grow sales for Planting People Growing Justice Press, Knowledge Books, and Intergalactic Afikoman by leveraging the market reach, expertise, and reputation for exceptional quality and customer service that has made Lerner Publishing Group a leader in independent children’s book publishing for more than 60 years.
Books from Planting People Growing Justice Press explore history and culture across the African Diaspora featuring topics such as the arts, geography, and science. Founder Dr. Artika R. Tyner believes that “leaders are readers,” and her books seek to inspire the next generation of leaders. Lerner Publisher Services will distribute three single titles in Spring 2023 including Amazing Africa: A to Z, Gumbo Joy, and Justice Makes a Difference: The Story of Miss Freedom Fighter, Esquire.
Knowledge Books is an educational publisher who produces award-winning books with a focus on literacy development, diversity, environmental sustainability, and the sciences. Lerner Publisher Services launches six Knowledge Books series in Spring 2023 featuring nearly 200 classroom paperback titles. Intergalactic Afikoman is an independent publisher of Jewish children’s books with a mission to create Jewish fantasy, zany children’s books, and books that are bursting with Jewish joy. A new single title, Lily Blue Riding Hood: A Purim Story, and five backlist titles, including I am Hava: A Song’s Story of Love, Hope & Joy illustrated by renowned Indian American Jewish artist Siona Benjamin, will release this spring in Intergalactic Afikoman’s inaugural list with Lerner Publisher Services.
