Inside Sales Account Manager

Summary: Sundance Newbridge, an imprint of Lerner Publishing Group, is looking for a highly motivated and capable sales expert to drive sales of our supplemental literacy products to K-8 schools across the United States. This position is designed to be a true driver of our products within an assigned territory – ensuring that our brand can be best represented within each unique community across the territory.

This position will be a part of our remote Inside Sales team and will report directly to the VP of Sales.
We are considering candidates residing in the Mountain Region or the Mid-West for this position – with a preference for Arizona, or Minnesota.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform aggressive outreach in a multi-state territory, building and closing an active pipeline
  2. Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals to ensure continued growth of the territory
  3. Actively pitch, sample, and discuss our products with educators across the territory
  4. Conduct high level of daily customer outreach – through email, phone, video, and social media
  5. Actively develop and discuss formal cost proposals with school & district decision makers
  6. Cultivate larger & more strategic sales opportunities at the district level
  7. Visit site-based decision makers and attend key local events / trade shows to interact with customers, gain new marketing intelligence and best represent our brand
  8. Manage CRM database to report on activities and update contacts for national campaigns
  9. Aid in the deployment of national marketing efforts and report on new market trends

Experience and Necessary Skills:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of education sales experience within K-12 schools or districts across the country required. Candidates with a strong contact list in AZ, CO, MN, UT and/or neighboring states strongly desired.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of the U.S. Education market, funding sources, buying patterns and customer types to determine decision makers and other key contacts
  3. Ability to conduct occasional travel throughout the territory to visit customers, events or attend annual company meetings.
  4. Travel will be 30-40% of the time with the ability to control one’s schedule.
  5. Excellent verbal & written communication – with the ability to develop rapport over email/phone and confidently communicate with a variety of contacts in the education space
  6. Strong organization and time-management skills
  7. Ability to be persuasive and persistent while overcoming objections
  8. PC Proficient with experience using Microsoft Office applications and online CRM software

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Compensation: Base salary plus monthly commission from dollar one with no cap in earnings.
