Fall Marketing Intern

Summary: Assist Sales & Marketing team with various while gaining hands-on experience in the publishing industry.

This position is based out of our downtown Minneapolis headquarters, with the possibility of hybrid.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Be an active member of the Sales & Marketing team by supporting all efforts.
  2. Write, proof, and edit various marketing materials, including but not limited to: advertisements, catalogs, flyers, press releases, discussion guides, and social media content to ensure top quality messaging.
  3. Coordinate and send publicity mailings as directed by Associate Publicist.
  4. Assist with the early review and review tracking process.
  5. Help to maintain and update various company websites and databases.
  6. Send out books, catalogs, and other materials as necessary.
  7. Create social media marketing and help develop social media content for the company.
  8. Assist with special projects as appropriate.
  9. Perform other related business duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or other management as required.

Experience and Necessary Skills:

  1. Excellent organizational and time management skills
  2. Strong writing ability and basic computer experience, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  3. Professional communication skills by email, telephone, and in person with editors, producers, authors, and colleagues
  4. Social media and/or design experience preferred
  5. A strong interest in children’s book publishing and a love of reading is a must

Education: At least two years of undergraduate work in a Library Science Technology, English, Communications, or Marketing major or related field
