Volume 2

From the Series Clock Striker

  • Interest Level: Grade 7 - Grade 9
  • Reading Level: Grade 7

Ms. Clock faces off against the Alter army and meets her match in Captain Volker. The crystals from Alter’s mines prove to be a dangerous weapon, and Ms. Clock is ultimately defeated and arrested.

Captain Volker gloats that all citizens serve the king and compensates the citizens affected by the battle with piles of gold. A massive reward is put on Cast, who is still missing. Meanwhile, Cast is taken in by the resistance, hidden in underground tunnels, and hailed a savior. The miners are tired of enduring the cruelty of the kingdom and suffering from effects of the crystal dust. A former resistance member, now a traitor, returns, admitting he sold Cast and Ms. Clock out for the reward, but he still wants to help his people. However, he rushes off to save his son, who was captured by a knight in the mines, and Cast follows, vowing to help all people.
