Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson first became famous as a wrestling superstar, but he’s become much more than his wrestling persona. Now a leading actor in movies and television, Johnson had humble beginnings in California. His interest in sports led him to football, where he became a top player in high school and college. Johnson thought he was destined to play professionally, but an injury sidelined that dream and led him into the wrestling ring instead. He followed in his father’s and grandfather’s wrestling footsteps and became “The Rock”—a world famous wrestling persona.

From there, Johnson crossed over into acting, where he was a natural star. He became famous in the acting world for his roles in the movie franchises The Mummy and Fast & Furious. He’s a huge action star and has also tried out comedy and animated roles. Johnson even conquered television and became especially well known for his role in Ballers.
