I would recommend for grades 3-7. This is a short, high interest non-fiction book with interesting facts and lots of pictures. It introduces information in an accessible way about Native American voting rights, sovereignty, and Indigenous voices in government. It discusses how Native people are citizens of the United States and also citizens of their individual tribes. The book also includes information about Indigenous activism when it comes to the environment, and discriminatory policies that were designed to erase Indigenous voices.
