Readers can make inferences about how they benefit from and can help grocery store workers. The photos in the text are dynamic and diverse, showing people including a father and daughter, older people, younger people, and even an abuela. In each of the books in this series, the well-known furry friends help young readers understand the contributions of many of the community helpers they might see in their own neighborhood. The Sesame Street characters are included throughout. At the end of the book is a thank you note which encourages a follow-up for the reader of the text.
