"This playful picture book takes young readers for a rollicking mail delivery ride as Fast and Snappy attempt to deliver a very important letter without being stopped by bad guys. President A. Blinkin arrives by train with a letter for Cactus Gulch. he then turns it over to the Hop-to-It Express riders. After a series of harrowing encounters, the dynamic dui, Snappy and Fast, stick to their oath. Readers will enjoy the humorous illustrations with a southwestern flavor. the text raises a contradiction within itself, however. Is Cactus Gulch a state or a town? The final two pages give a brief history of the Pony Express and its 18 months of existence."
