Interview
What was your favorite book when you were a child?
The Giver from Lois Lowry
Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?
Allison Bechdel, Marine Schneider and Tove Jansson
Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?
I have always drawn and squibbled, and when I understood that I could actually tell stories through it, it made me feel like all made sense.
Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?
Working in this field takes discipline, a tad bit of passion (yes), but it also takes the ability to take a step back to take care of your physical and mental health.
