Tom Jackson

Tom Jackson has been a writer for 20 years. He has written more than 80 books and contributed to hundreds more. Tom gets to write about a wide range of subjects, everything from axolotls to zoroastrianism. Tom lives in Bristol, England, with his wife and three children.

What’s your favorite line from a book?

Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?
David Mitchell, Robert Westall, Adrian Tchaikovsky
Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?
I like telling stories and true stories are the best ones.
Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?
Write something, show it to other people, listen to what they say about it, then write something else. You’ll get better at it that way.
