What was your favorite book when you were a child?
The Marvelous Land of Oz, which felt like a crazy explosion of weird ideas.
Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?
Jack Kirby, Gary Panter, Christophe Blain
Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?
I had all these stories clogging up my head, I figured I better get them out of there and on to the page!
Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?
Pace yourself! Both physically (do stretches, take walks, etc) and emotionally (don’t compare yourself to others, don’t worry about being too old/young, etc).
