Tamika M. Murray
Tamika Murray is a nonfiction author and social worker based in New Jersey. She earned her first degree at Stockton University and became an Adjunct English Instructor at Atlantic Cape Community College. While teaching, she earned a second Bachelors’ Degree in Social Work.

Candle-Light Stories (published in 1927)
What’s your favorite line from a book?

Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?
Roald Dahl, J.K. Rowling, Jane Austen
Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?
I’ve been writing since I was a child. I loved reading as well. Becoming an author is something I wanted since I was very young.
Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?
Just start writing. Don’t judge your writing too harshly. We all write drafts, edit, revise, and repeat.
