Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?

I love to rhyme and enjoy word play. I grew up writing poetry and became a teacher for 25 years, which inspired many books.

Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?

Write what you know, and what you’re passionate about. You have a story (or stories) that only you can tell.
