Isabel Muñoz

Isabel Muñoz is an artist and a children’s book illustrator. She is a fine arts graduate from Universidad Complutense of Madrid, Spain. Isabel works from a tiny colorful studio in the north of Spain.

What was your favorite book when you were a child?

It’s a Spanish one called “El Fantasma Cataplasma” published by Edelvives, writen by Javier Sebastián and illustrated by Ana G. Lartitegui.

What’s your favorite line from a book?

“Be comforted, dear soul! There is always light behind the clouds.” From Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?

Only three? I have many! Hehe But I would say Mary Blair, Lou Romano and Anne Bond

Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?

I feel myself satisfied and happy when I’m drawing, that’s like breath! I need to do it.

Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?

Never stop trying, and never stop training!
