Interview
What was your favorite book when you were a child?
As a kid, the story with the biggest impact probably came from the Dragonball comic books. It was the first time that a series entertained my friends and me for years.
What’s your favorite line from a book?
“There is something to be learned from a rainstorm. When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road. But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you will still get the same soaking. This understanding extends to everything.” ― Tsunetomo Yamamoto, The Hagakure
Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?
Masashi Kishimoto, Kentarō Miura & Christoph Niemann
Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?
Comics, stories, movies and video games have always fascinated me. I wanted to do something like that too. So I followed my passions.
Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?
Do not try to please someone. Do what you do so that you will like it.
