Danny, the Champion of the World

What’s your favorite line from a book?

“One can beg, buy, be presented with, and find love in the streets, but it can never be stolen.”—Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha

Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?

Isabelle Arsenault, Jon Klassen, Zora N. Hurston

Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?

As a child I loved telling stories through pictures. I think I’ve always believed in the power of an image/illustration and its ability to communicate an emotion, an idea, a process, or a concept in my own voice.

Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?

Diligence and passion is sometimes more powerful than raw talent. When you truly love something, it shows in the work!
