Interview

What was your favorite book when you were a child?

I did not have a favorite book in particular. I liked classic stories.

Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?

I have many favorite illustrators! I am very inspired by the work of Oliver Jeffers, Poly Bernatene, and Pillot Frederic.

Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?

I never imagined being an illustrator and living from drawing. But I always drew for pleasure until the opportunities appeared to begin to illustrate professionally and publish.

Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?

My main advice is to draw a lot. Time gives experience but only if you are drawing constantly. I advise them to draw what they like, where they are most comfortable. Do not despair to find a particular style, but let it flow and everything will come in time.
