Judy Freeman

Across a variety of media – and now a coloring book – ketubah artist Judy Freeman expresses the mosaic of life’s experiences. Her artwork may hang on a wall but it doesn’t merely decorate, it commemorates Jewish life cycle events. A student of art in Europe and Israel, as well as a teacher of art and art history, Judy’s artwork reflects an understanding of contemporary and traditional Jewish values. When Israel celebrated its 50th Anniversary, Judy was thrilled to be invited to Jerusalem to present Prime Minister Ehud Olmert with her piece, ‘50 Stars of Israel.’ Her work has been featured at The Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Skirball Cultural Center as well as other museums, universities, and synagogues on four continents. She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
