Len Vlahos
Len Vlahos has held leadership positions with the American Booksellers Association and Book Industry Study Group (BISG) and co-owns The Tattered Cover bookstore in Denver, CO. His novel The Scar Boys was a finalist for the William C. Morris YA Debut Award.

What’s your favorite line from a book?
“I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.” – Bilbo Baggins in The Fellowship of the Ring.
Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?
Way too hard a question to answer…it changes every day.
Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?
I love to tell stories, and I love to create. I’ve been writing prose, music and lyrics, screenplays, you name it since I was a kid.
Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?
Perserverance pays off. I’m living proof.
