”Where’s Papa going with that axe?” (Of course).
Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?
I’m a huge fan of historical fiction and fantasy, so there are many, but I love Sharon Kay Penman, George R.R. Martin, and Neil Gaiman.
Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?
I love stories. I love using my imagination to create and paint new characters and worlds.
Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?
Write. Don’t listen to the voices (in or out of your head) that say ‘no’ or ‘that won’t work.’ Do it all anyway. Write it all anyway.
