Interview
What was your favorite book when you were a child?
Little Golden Picture Dictionary, illustrated by Tibor Gergely
Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?
Valeri Gorbachev, Margaret Bloy Graham, Tibor Gergely
Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?
I started out as an abstract painter working in oils. But, when a friend gave me Photoshop I started playing around with it. My kids were little so it was inconvenient to be covered in oil and turpentine all the time. Having kids renewed my interest in picture books. Seeing those Little Golden Books again was inspiring.
