Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?
To write/illustrate the books I did not have as a kid. As a child, I always had a morbid curiosity and there were few books that spoke to my interests.
Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?
I believe success happens when luck, perseverance, and talent collide but you have to be willing to get run over a few times before that happens.
