Interview

What was your favorite book when you were a child?

All the Little House on the Prairie books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

What’s your favorite line from a book?

“The moment you doubt that you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it.” –Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie

Who are your top three favorite authors or illustrators?

John Steinbeck, Donna Jo Napoli, and Elizabeth George

Why did you want to become an author or illustrator?

When I realized that books were a wonderful opportunity to give a wish for knowledge to another person.

Do you have any advice for future authors or illustrators?

Keep writing. You don’t have to write the entire book in one sitting. If you write just 200 words a day, day after day, you will have a chapter within a few weeks and an entire manuscript before you know it.
